I decided to make a news post to hold things I've been working on. Here are some links to my .swfs on my dump.
My first attempt at Sat Collision detection, the only collisions that I feel aren't spot on are when the moving polygons (which I have set with 25 sides to give the appearance of circularity) hit the points of the triangles or each other.
Small test with BitmapData and Perlin Noise. 11 lines, no library items. It doesn't really do much.
This is just a sprite running along a line comprised of small circles. Left and right to move, no jumping or anything. I guess you could call this a test of slope detection, but I don't know if I'd call it that. 0 library items.
I was really bored when I made this. I was kind of just going on aimlessly. I like the end result though. 0 library items.
A sine curve that moves left (or negatively upon the x axis) while decreasing in alpha. The only thing is, at the extremes of the curve, where the points are most tightly compacted it seems to stay dark longer. I could probably fix it with a little smart thinking, but I doubt I will. 0 library items.
I just made a spaceship move with arrow keys. I like the way it feels.
A talking shark that follows the mouse. I like the way it feels.
